U.S. monitoring centers · cellular backup
ADT watches the house while you commute, sit at a Reds game, or wait out Duke Energy
When a sensor trips, ADT can call you and request help. That is the reason to order professional monitoring instead of a camera you check yourself from I-71.
What ADT monitoring does on a Hamilton County night
ADT watches the system 24 hours a day from U.S. monitoring centers. If a door opens while you are armed, or a smoke detector goes off, a person can call you and, when it is appropriate, request police or fire.
A camera you watch on your phone is useful for a Hyde Park porch package. It is not the same thing. You cannot always pick up. ADT can — at 2 a.m., during a Reds game, or while you sit in I-71 traffic.
The system can still reach ADT if Duke Energy Ohio, Duke Energy Kentucky, or the Wi-Fi is out. Duke Energy Ohio covers most of Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont. Duke Energy Kentucky covers most of Northern Kentucky. This is not AES Ohio. Summer storms are why backup is named on the quote — not scare copy.
Coverage is local. Same-day or next-day SafeStreets install is often available in these 45 ZIPs. Alarm paperwork changes with the ZIP: City of Cincinnati Chapter 807 FARU registration (still required; the old biennial user-registration fee stopped March 15, 2022 — we do not invent a current annual permit dollar amount), Ohio Revised Code 505.511 in many townships, independent Ohio cities and Northern Kentucky desks named from the ZIP. We name the office on the quote.
